Elli, is it you?: A body swap thriller, (Paperback)

Elli is trapped in a coma after an accident. However, she realizes that she can take over the bodies of sleeping individuals. Does her husband Mick want to send her to the afterlife? Can she stop him with the help of her childhood friend Pidder? What exactly does Kylie Monique have to do with the whole situation? And what the hell does the "Krakauer" want?

It all began when the ceiling fell on Elli's head. Until this event, everything was going well: Elli is a co-owner of a successful company, has a young husband whom she loves more than anything, and doesn't have any financial worries. But then the accident changes everything. Her consciousness is now trapped in her motionless body. The "Locked-In Syndrome" prevents her from communicating with the outside world in any way. What sounds like the beginning of a tragedy is the starting point for a turbulent story of friendship, resilience, and empathy.

Readers get a glimpse into Elli's thought world, which is refreshingly active despite her lack of physical mobility. In her "Head-Office," she sets the rules. And she has a secret: She can literally "step into others." She calls this process "Napping." Elli discovers that Mick is planning her death with his lover Vicky. A race against time begins. When Elli is kidnapped to a secret hideout, she tries to contact Pidder. A confusing game unfolds, with perspectives constantly shifting. Together with Pidder, readers wonder, "Is that you, Elli?"

In addition to a wild chase through the imaginary landscape of the "upper Lower Rhine," the story delves into a road trip through the minds of the protagonists. At the heart of it all is Elli: the woman who can't move an inch under her own power from the first page to the last. In a desperate attempt to save her life, she drives the plot forward, gets involved, and causes chaos in various ways.
